Why this matters
ReviseOnline is used by senior secondary students (typically aged 15–18), teachers, and school staff. We host community features — class discussion threads, study group comments, and shared notes — where you can post your own content.
These rules apply to everything you post, share, or upload through the ReviseOnline platform. Breaking them can result in a warning, a temporary suspension, or permanent removal of your account, depending on severity. Schools may also be notified.
What you can do
- Ask and answer study questions in good faith.
- Share your own notes, summaries, and worked examples.
- Discuss exam strategy, course content, and study habits.
- Constructively review your own performance and goals.
What you cannot do
You must not post, share, or upload content that:
- Harasses, bullies, or threatens any person — including other students, teachers, or ReviseOnline staff.
- Targets a person or group with discrimination or hate based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Infringes intellectual property — including reproducing copyrighted exam papers, paid third-party study notes, or textbook chapters without permission.
- Contains illegal content — including child sexual abuse material, content that promotes terrorism or self-harm, or content that breaks Australian law.
- Is sexually explicit or graphically violent.
- Discloses personal information about another person without their consent (doxxing).
- Promotes academic misconduct — for example, advertising paid essay services, ghost-writing completed assessments, or selling exam answers.
- Spams the platform with promotional links, unsolicited advertising, or bulk-posted noise.
- Distributes malware or attempts to compromise the security of the platform or its users.
- Impersonates another student, teacher, or organisation.
Takedown process
If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, defames you, or otherwise breaches this policy or Australian law, email support@reviseonline.com with:
- A direct link to the content (URL).
- A description of the issue (e.g. "this is my unpublished tutorial worksheet, posted without permission").
- Your name and a contact email.
- A good-faith statement that you are authorised to make the request.
We aim to acknowledge takedown requests within 2 business days and resolve them within 5 business days. Urgent safety issues (image-based abuse, threats of harm) are escalated immediately and may be removed pending investigation.
Enforcement
We may remove content, restrict an account, or terminate access without prior notice where required to protect users or comply with Australian law. Where appropriate we will explain our decision and, in school contexts, notify the school administrator.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the platform evolves. Substantive changes will be flagged on the site or by email to active users.
